Family Adventure Day
Fall 2009 Bring your family and join Brian and Rima Carlson on a hike at the Nature Conservancy's Mary MacDonald Preserve near Copper Harbor from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 17. Children will make nature journals using recycled materials and found objects.
Family adventures will be held every third Saturday of each month, all yearlong, for a leisurely walk along one of the trails featured in the guide, "Walking Paths and Protected Areas of the Keweenaw." Each family-friendly hike will be hosted by a local family, a sanctuary steward and a representative of Tech's Western UP Center for Science, Mathematics and Environmental Education.

If you plan to attend or have any questions, call 487-3341 or contact Rachel Carpenter at rmcarpen@mtu.edu or Michelle Miller at michellem@mtu.edu .
