K-12 Earth Day 2006 Program
Help the Earth and Your Students’ MEAP Scores!!
Earth
Day 2006 April 22nd!
Schools, scouting groups, and community youth groups
located in Houghton, Baraga, Keweenaw, Gogebic, and Ontonagon counties
are invited to participate in the Sixth Annual Earth
Day 2006 “Kids CAN Make A Difference” Program.
The
goal of this program is for students to recognize that we all can make
a difference by becoming more informed and by taking action in our local
communities. See the program description flyer for how this program correlates
to the Michigan Curriculum Framework.
This
program is sponsored by the Western Upper Peninsula Center for Science,
Mathematics and Environmental Education with funding from the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency and the Wege
Foundation.
